Sam can help you on both clubs, and having met you several times, be happy to sign your forms both proposer and seconder as we are both members of both here.

Sam unless Di who is involved with Utility Gundog Society can swing things they are a little more complicated in that whichever area you are joining the proposer and seconder has to be in that area. I am "Eastern".

I am not sure which one you are joining.

The offer still stands if you need an 'Eastern' UGS member.

I dont know how far your aspirations lie, but both societies offer a reasonable chance to get novice trial runs, as they don't seem to have quite the huge number of people putting in for nominations as some other clubs.

Sam if I were you I wouldn't bother with Utility Gundog Society just yet. Save your pennies. Unless you are going down Di's way cos Eastern only does Field Trials not very much else.

I used to be Field Trial Secretary for Utility Gundog Club East. They run their own Trials and working tests, though no training classes. Whichever area you are in, you are entitled to run in trials run by the parent body. This is a very friendly club and welcomes new people. Shirley Grainger, secretary for UGS east is also with East Anglian and will help you with your proposers.
