I still can't believe what I get up to now but I am completely integrated into the countryside, so much so that when there was a discussion going on round the beaters table at lunchtime the other day running down townies and I tried to step in they all thought I was joking
that must be a first at a beaters Table so your beaters tables are just like ours up North
We had to laugh at ourselves yesterday too. You know how pheasants seem to have a death wish when it comes to crossing roads? Well, we nearly got one yesterday and looked behind us and then both admitted we were just a little bit disappointed that it walked off as it would have been great for some training
Gindog – I could have done with one of those out in the permafrost yesterday.
Andrew, its funny you should tell that story as quite a few years ago a friend of mine rescued an injured owl from the roadside, he placed it on the back seat of his car to take it home, when it woke up and turned nasty.
Funny Jill you should come from Mortlake - I did 18 months teacher training at Froebel and of course that is part of the group with Whitelands.... so know the area....
Mary - Neo says "Gindog" sounds like more fun.....
Well, we are intending to move into the country - so you may yet get pestered for some beating experience...(did I actually say that???? )
