I dont know if I'm allowed to do this but my friend who is the local dog warden has just rung tellling me about a black lab she has just had to take into Manchester Dogs home. She thought she was such a sweetie that a post on here may find a home a bit quicker for her.
She is a female (obviously ) approx 9 yr old who is very overweight. She was found as a stray but it doesn't seem like she has been wandering long. She is chipped but the number is in Southport and is no longer connected.
My friend has had her with her in the van for 2 dys just in case she anyone rang and she has greeted everybody with the usual lab enthusiasim and taken it all in her stride.
She has only just been dropped off at Manchester today so it will be 7 days until she is available for re-homing. Hopefully the rightful owners will turn up but the last 2 days no body has enquired after her or reported her missing.
If only I had the room . .
So if anyone is looking for an older companion or knows somebody who is in 7 days time there could be the perfect one at manchester waiting
I'll ask my friend tonight about signing over to rescue. She's at manchester most days.
Failing that I may wait the 7 days and go and get her myself to sign over to a rescue. I know that manchester dont do any checks.
I could go and pick her up from them if you need me to. I mentioned her to Phoenix dog rescue yesterday, and they said they'll try and find out what's going on.
