Maybe if I read all the posts I wouldn't have asked the question. I see MyMillie has already answered it. Thanks.

John.

Just a quick question: is this book suitable for training a 5 month old puppy that's unlikely to do any gun dog work? I could do with a book to help with teaching long stays, distance control, how to focus etc

Hello Andy, The book was originally written as a series of articles for North West Labrador Rescue site, not specifically for people wonting to work their dogs on shoots, but because I figured that if only people could be encouraged into training their dogs there would be less ending up in rescue. So yes, the book is relevant whether you want to eventually work your dog, or simply have a dog who is a pleasure to live with. And of course you will also be helping the rescue. Very Happy

Regards, John
