I have just picked up a post from South Gloucs dog warden, they are inundated with dogs and will have to start destroying dogs on Friday as their kennels are full.
There is a Lab X on there, here is the info
Hi my name is Arthur
I am probably a Labrador crossed with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and am no more than one year old. I was found tied very tightly to a fence. I was scared and cold until some nice men from the garage made friends with me and rescued me, then called the Dog warden. I am a bit shy of new people but once I have met you I am a big soft silly boy. If you think I might fit into your life then you will need to have a secure garden with at least a 4 ft fence. You will need to walk me twice a day, take me to dog training and be prepared to neuter and vaccinate me.
Arthur has been very ill and nearly died at the vets from an unconfirmed illness that caused him severe pain and discomfort, he spent a week at the vets and is now recovered. Poor Arthur, first he is abandoned down a dark cold alley, then he is put in kennels where he is worried and doesn’t know hat is happening and then he becomes very ill and now he is back in kennels! Arthur is such a lovely dog he deserves a home, and soon! Please consider giving this young dog a chance !
PLEASE CAN ANYONE OFFER A SPACE BY FRIDAY!!!!!!

The South Glos dog warden is a friend of mine, and I am going to meet Arthur at the end of this week. Providing all goes well am planning on fostering Arthur.

Oh that is really good news! I received the email from Celine and have crossposted in a few places but things are so desperate for rescues at the moment, it's so difficult

Oh that is brilliant news, who is the rescue backing you up?

No rescue backing me up, but as things are so desperate I have agreed to help out if I can.
Wezley was homed directly from the South Glos dog warden team, as he was an unclaimed stray, so the homecheck shouldn't be a problem. Just have to hope that both dogs get on when they meet.
