Just got a call at work to say my MIL's JRT had a stroke and has been helped to cross the bridge. She was 18 years old and a feisty little madam, yet from the day i first met her 10 long years ago right up to the last time i saw her she always had a few minutes for a fuss and cuddle from me.
The first time i visited my MIL's house i sat on the settee all nervous, then suddenly she was in my lap, i was told i should feel honoured as she normally wasn't great with strangers, and i did feel honoured from that day to this.
