This raffle is to raise funds for the gorgeous Rhys who is with Friends of the Animals. Rhys needed extensive surgery on his leg to help him walk and we are raising funds to try and pay for this surgery
This is Rhys's page on the Friends of the Animals website
Right, there are 2 holidays up for grabs here. There are 100 numbers which can be bought for £5 each. Once all of the numbers have been sold, we will pull 2 numbers out of a hat (place, time, etc to be confirmed) and the first number pulled will have a choice of which holiday they would like and the second ticket holder will have the other holiday!
These are the details of the holidays:
The first holiday is a 3 night (mid week) holiday at The Valley in Cornwall for 4 people in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage to be taken any time between 5/12/08 and end March '09
They allow a maximum of 2 dogs per cottage and they have a beautiful dog walk in the site which connects with a maze of public footpaths outside The Valley but most cottages do not have enclosed private areas.
Dogs are not permitted on the furniture in the cottages or in the restaurant and have to be kept on a lead at all times whilst in the main Valley grounds.
Enjoy The Valley's landscape designed gardens, indoor & outdoor swimming pools, fitness classes, gym, tennis court, squash court & games room, with golf, fishing, sailing and cycling close by.
Relax in Café Azur enjoying exquisite food and drink in stylish comfort. And if you ever prefer your own company you can have one of the chef's superb meals in the seclusion of your cottage.
The second holiday is a wonderful break in the Cotswolds
This is a long weekend (3 nights, Fri/Sat/Sun) to be taken at any time during November, December, January & February (excluding Christmasmas, New Year & Valentines Day) depending on availability
The cottage has an enclosed garden and a very tempting swimming pool. You can charge straight from the gate into your own 25 acres of woodland. Doggy towels, feeding bowls, pooper-scoopers, electric dog dryer and doggy treats are provided. There are ample flood lights in the garden which your family can switch on for your late night excursions
The Old Coachhouse is an attractive early C19th Cotswold Stone building which was originally a stable with trap house above and an adjoining Victorian potting shed. The accommodation now comprises two bedrooms (sleeping 2 to 6 people), a sitting/dining room, bathroom, hall and kitchen. The furnishings are in keeping with the cottage; comfortable, pretty, homely and spotlessly clean but it is neither luxurious nor over-spacious!
You may bring two dogs with you. (The person who wins this holiday must be prepared to pay direct to the cottage owner a damages deposit of £35 per dog or £50 per couple without dogs. This is returned after the holiday if the cottage is left clean and undamaged.)
This raffle is being held on here and 2 other forums, so I will update each thread as numbers are being bought
To pay for your raffle ticket you can either do so by paypal or by cheque (please pm me for cheque details). If you paying by paypal please send the money to donations@friends-of-the-animals.co.uk

Rhys is having further surgery next week to try and release the muscle in his leg. He is having hydrotherapy at the moment and physio and they have made a huge difference in the last week
We still have quite a bit of money to raise to pay for the original surgery so why not buy a number for a family member or a friend for Christmas ;D
