Sorry about this people, I just got back in and have a couple of msn messages to say site has been down a couple of hours, only got it back online by requesting a reboot from hosting company.
Looking into it, and will update when i find root cause

ok according to the logs the site hung at 17:48pm, looks like a memory issue. Will have to have a word with Stu as he is the expert.
carrying on looking into it.
