It is time to get your nominations in for LF Member of the Year. Very Happy

You can nominate whoever you wish, for whatever reasons and you can do this by PMing either myself or any of the other Staff. We will collate the nominations and I will put up a Poll after the closing date, so you can all vote.

Closing date for nominations is Christmas Day, with the aim to have the poll between Christmas and New Year and the Awards Ceremony (with all it's Glitz and Glamour, Tears and Tantrums Shocked ) to be held on New Years Day. Very Happy

So get those nominations in now. Wink

Too right we can nominate Jules, Linda! Here goes......

I would like to nominate Jules because she is always there in a crisis (Not that she's the cause of the crisis, thats not what I meant at all....I mean she always 'appears' when there's a crisis....but not in an 'oh goody-there's a crisis' sort of way either!!!)

On a personal level, she has seen me through thick and thin this year. When I had to do something very hard and just couldn't do it, the first person I contacted was Jules and she talked me through it (she knows what I mean) and at the opposite end of the spectrum, when I needed 'something blue' at the last minute before getting hitched, she handed me her old Dad's blue thermal vest to wear Shocked (which considering how cold it was up that hill, was nothing less than heroic!)

Jules is the sort of person that you'd enjoy being stuck in a lift with, and no doubt, she'd work out exactly which buttons to twiddle to get the darn thing working again!

She has far more patience than anyone I know.

Her dogs adore her, justifiably, as she is adorable!

Jules can do anything when she sets her mind to it! When she offered to make my wedding cake, I accepted and it wasn't till sometime later that she mentioned she'd never made a cake before! Shocked And what a cake it was! A veritable erection if ever there was one - but thats Jules for you!

Jules isn't scary at all. I rate people into 3 catagories;- non-scary, moderately scary and terrifying! Shocked Jules isn't at all scary, because she is what you see. Everyone likes her.

Jules always gives very sensible advice and with it, a dollop of good humour. Loads of people on LF have benefitted from it.

VOTE JULES!!!!! (Cos you know it makes sense!)

Jules doing her 'The Queen' impression!

I to would like to nominate Nat aka littlelab

She works tirelessy to help homeless dogs. I have been on holiday with her and she is still taking calls and sorting out dogs.

Ooo so many people I'd like to nominate it's not true. I've had so much wonderful help on here in the field trials section from the likes of Monkeyboy, Contender, Eshiels, MattA99, Diana, JohnW, EJW etc.... but I have to say JohnW and EJW have really gone out of there way and been incredibly generous with their time etc.

On the rescue side, of course Littlelab, bless her, comes to mind as do many others but it is FRED I'd like to nominate. She very very quietly is behind the scenes on most fund raisers and awareness campaigns. You will always find her supporting the cause either with her time, money or own wonderful gifts and prizes that she makes. None of this has gone un noticed by me Fred. You really are a lovely lady. Wink

Also thank you to everyone here, this truely is a wonderful and incredibly helpful forum thanks to you all Very Happy

I'd like to nominate Nat (littlelab) too please.

She is 'on duty' 24/7 and always puts the needs of the labs without a home, before her own.

Not only that, but Nat is a throughly lovely person, who gives great advice and is not over emotional about the whole thing, she just gets on with the job in hand.

Nat never forgets what we are all here for, the welfare of our beloved labs, and she never loses sight of that, even when she is getting it from all angles.

Vote Nat, because if YOUR lab was lost, he would want Nat fighting his corner Wink

Well its JohnW for me Very Happy . He has helped so much in all my research on husband's for Darcy and again when I was struggling trying to make a decision on whether to take on Boots with so few health tests and loads of other things.

When I have something I need to email through with someone JohnW is the man, plus I get his sense of humour Very Happy .

I think the original idea was to PM nominations but I must say that it is rather nice getting a bit of background. I don’t spend much time on here, so I’m oblivious to a lot of the good work that goes on and virtually everything that does on outside the FT&H section. Confused

I’ve been given some great tips and advice on here and would like to thank all those that have done so, as I would everyone who takes the time to post up excellent photographs, it’s all very impressive. Very Happy

My nomination is another one for JohnW, who is just a mine of information on all aspects of the breed, from its history, through behaviour, breeding, training, to working, health etc etc, plus the humour that’s already been mentioned. Not only are John’s posts most enlightening but I suspect he receives as many PM’s and e-mails on related subjects.

John has helped me with information, on a worrying health issue, as recently as this week and his advice and information was most comforting and very gratefully received.

John

well my nomination also goes to johnw, for the wealth of knowledge he so easily departs with to all who ask or who have health issues, but also for the support and comfort he can be when your really worried and feel about to crack up, a few words from john always puts things back into context and the right perspective, he has been my rock this last 12 months and i really dont know how i could of got through without him,

and also i want to say a huge thanks to trizia, fay (fre) and eve,who have been there for me on the end of a phone or pm when i needed an ear, your support and friendship have been greatly appreciated and i thankyou all from the bottom of my heart, gosh and now that i have got started i dont feel i can leave without saying a huge thanks to mary and den as well who have helped me while away many an anxious time with zak late into the evening on msn, i am just so sorry i cant nominate you all .....................

sheila and zak
