The Oldies Club has set up various affiliate schemes which mean Oldies Club supporters can do their shopping online with a percentage of the sale going to the Oldies Club to help the older dogs in our care.

We have set up an account with Easy Fundraising. If you shop online, please consider setting up an account (which is very quick and easy) and selecting Oldies Club as your "cause". Many of the well known retailers are listed on there and this is a great opportunity for us to raise some extra pennies and pounds with no cost to anyone but the retailers Very Happy

You can register for free here:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/Register/?char=7830 - that should bring up a short registration form with Oldies Club listed as the charity, if it doesn't, please let me know.

Just fill in your details to register and then, everytime you want to purchase something online, check to see if the store is listed on the easy fundraising site (you can do this really easily from the homepage: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ by entering the name of the company in the "search for retailer" box near the top left).

Lots of well known stores use the site, such as Amazon, iTunes, PC World, Next, Vodafone, Woolworths, John Lewis, Comet, the list goes on and on.

Once you have found the retailer you are looking for, you just click on the link on the easy fundraising site and it will take you through to the retailer site, from which you just shop as usual Very Happy

It's well worth doing as you can shop knowing that while you are not paying anymore, a charity such as Oldies Club is benefiting. The percentage donations vary from company to company but everything is worth having and if we can get lots of people on board it could really make a difference to the amount of money we raise.

We also receive a (very) small amount of money everytime someone uses the easy fundraising site's search facility, even if they don't buy anything, so again that is worth doing.

Other affiliate schemes:

Aside from the easy fundraising site, we have also established schemes with individual retailers - these include companies selling pet products - toys, training equipment etc. and also a wonderful lady who paints and draws pet portraits.

You can find the links on this page of the Oldies Club site: http://www.oldies.org.uk/?page_id=534 - please use the links on this page to ensure we benefit from purchases made.

There's Tribbles Gift Store - you need to state Oldies Club on the order when you place it to ensure we benefit

Pressies 4 Dogs - which donates 5% to us and sells some lovely gifts/toys for dogs of all sizes.

Canine Concepts - sells all sorts of pet products including toys, training equipment and crates

Crosskeys - a store selling lots of training gear, plus books, toys etc. and gives us 10% from orders place through the Oldies Club site

We also have a scheme set up with Wendy, an artist who products beautiful pet portraits - more details and a couple of examples here: http://www.oldies.org.uk/?page_id=389 - please state Oldies Club when placing an order.

Oh, one thing to add re the easy fundraising scheme. If you (officially) represent another rescue/charity and you would like to sign up to raise funds for your own organisation, would you please let me know so that I can send you a referral link?

This means that the Oldies Club will benefit from any sales made through those signing up to your scheme, but this will *not* take any funds away from your organisation, the money is paid by easy fundraising. You in turn can then go on to refer others, so everyone benefits Smile

I hope this all makes sense. I realise it's rather a long thread but wanted to try to explain it as thoroughly as possible, but if anything isn't clear, please ask Smile

Just giving this a little bump as it would be really great to see more people registering with the Easy Fundraising site in particular to do their online shopping Very Happy

Just giving this a gentle bump as we have new members joining LF all the time and it would be great to see a few more people signing up to Easy Fundraising Smile It doesn't cost you anymore when you shop, you just go via the Easy Fundraising site (after you've registered, which is very quick, and logged in) and shop as usual and then a % of sales made will come to the OC (or whoever your chosen charity is).

We've also added affiliate schemes including Kudos Beds, with 10% coming to Oldies Club when you quote Oldies Club on your order. I have these beds for my dogs and I think they're great - and handy for sunbathing on too Wink

There is a link on the Oldies Club for my cushions and cards whereby I will give 25% of each purchase to the Oldies Club. Hope I'm allowed to do this. Sorry if not.

Thanks Nat and Michele Group Huuug!

Just to mention also, that we have a referral link I can forward to other rescues/organisations - if you follow this link while setting up your own easy fundraising account, then Oldies Club will gain from every sale made through your account, without reducing the amount you benefit by, so it's basically free money for you and free money for the OC Smile

When you sign up for easy fundraising, not only do you get to raise money for your favourite charity/organisation (Oldies Club hopefully!) but you also have the chance to enter/be entered into various competitions to win prizes for yourself Smile

We've just found out that an Oldies Club supporter signed up to Easy Fundraising, won a case of 12 bottles of champagne in a comp ending on Thursday - how fab is that Smile

If anyone else is thinking of signing up, please do - and if you know of another charity/organisation that hasn't yet joined but might like to, please ask them to go via a referral from Oldies Club (contact me for info) as Oldies Club will then benefit from all future sales too, at no cost to the new organisation Smile

Just a little bump for this as it really is a fantastic way to help a charity at no extra cost to yourself, when shopping online.

Anyone signed up to Easy Fundraising can also enter the advent calendar competition each day this month to gain a chance to win some great prizes:
http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/advent_calendar/

If you eBay, do consider signing up as eBay donate 15% of fees (not purchase price) to your chosen charity if you go via the Easy Fundraising site.

Once you've registered, which is very quick and easy, it really is very simple to use and if you're like me and having to watch the pennies at the moment, it's a wonderful way to continue to help a rescue or other organisation without having to spend any extra.

Thanks for reading - and again, if any rescues or other groups (there are allsorts of groups registered) are not yet signed up but want to be, please ask me for our referral code as that way both charities can benefit Smile

Angela
