When my upper back locked up recently I spent the 2 months sick leave trying to find a professional dogwalker for Bliss to no avail. I tried the vets, pet shops, our trainer, neighbours, google and NARP and everyone I contacted said they had too many customers.

Now I'm back at work and into the general swing of things again and I've gone and slipped a disc in my lower back. I'm still mobile, limping, but mobile! But I really think I should have backup (no pun intended) in case I can't walk Bliss.

Because of her fear aggression I really need a pro who knows how to deal with her behaviour.

Does anyone have any ideas about where else I can look?

Sorry, I found dan through our trainer (he is an assistant trainer at the dog school). And i found the trainer/dog school through my vets...

Maybe you could say where abouts in the uk you are and se if there's anyone local on LF who may reccomend someone?

Sorry to hear of your Back troubles - it sucks Sad

We found our dog walker by doing a google search, not ideal I know but we'd drawn a blank previously.

after afew tries (the first companies we tried were full) We found JUlie - she is wonderful and we are very lucky to have somebody so flexible... no week is the same for us Rolling Eyes

I think it's worth a try, you can always meet them and sound them out beforehand anyways..

Good luck.

Ps - we are in London (SE)

Thanks guys. I'm in Oxford. If anyone has a dogwalker in my area I'd be eternally grateful for their contact details just in case. Hopefully I'll be ok and be able to manage but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up tomorrow and my head fell off Rolling Eyes Laughing .

Thanks Feebarn. Yes that's what I did first and found half a dozen but they all said they couldn't take on more customers.

Well I'm still in one piece this morning so will count my blessings and get walking myself Wink.

Maybe when I'm fitter I'll become a dog walker - there's obviously a demand in this area!
