What a terrible mistake to make, this poor woman will have to live with the consequences of her carelessness, but nothing will bring this poor kitten back - but mistakes do happen. I know this myself, as a couple of years ago, the ultra paranoid and careful me, put dog Frontline on my elderly cat. I realised within seconds what I had done, scrubbed the area clean then rang the emergency vet, who said I had done the right thing by rinsing the area immediately and there should be no lasting harm done. Luckily there wasn't.

Run free, little kitten.

Thats really tragic and those of us with cats and dogs can only say "There but for the grace of god go I", hopefully nothing tragic will happen to the new kitty and it`ll live a long and happy life.

My thoughts are with the mother and family.

Run Free at the Bridge little one

As others have said its a mistake any one of us could make. I know I always check the packet but there is always the chance you think you ahve but pick the wrong one up....
