Oh, and Leanne forgot to write that Pud also chewed his in half one day when we were on a walk and went to put it on him and crunch - he just chewed one of the nose-parts in half, in just a second, it happened so quick! LOL

My only bad thing to say about them, is that Ozzie really hated it to start with - so much so that he rubbed his nose on the ground so much that it was red raw and bleeding Sad Horrible to see.

As long as you know a Canny is just a training aid, it is not a long term solution, its fine. Ozzie only ever needed his in exciting situations. Even now, I rarely use it - it's been on him maybe 3-4 times since we moved down south.

I have saved your email address, so feel free to edit your post and remove your address from public view.
I haven't emailed you yet though, as I want to dig the damn thing out and make sure I have it before I email you! Smile It could possibly have been lost in the move I guess. Will email you tonight or tomorrow, promise!

I found this very helpful with Pebbles (although she tried to get it off until we'd walked for a few minutes or so) It works almost like reins, but it tightens only when the dog pulls or lunges so the dog is causing the correction action itself.

Hi

I had one for Poppy when i first got her and it worked a treat. However now i hate it and will never use it again. It has to be a snug fit and i found that it kept making Poppy gulp, but on the lower setting it didn't work.

I now use a half check with her and the training is working wonders, no more pulling. Well i say no more not really true as if i don't spot a dog coming before her and get her attention with cheese/liver cake or what ever is in my pocket then she is up on her back legs trying to get to the other dog lol. Providing i manage to get the "watch" command in and the food in my hand we pass by with no problems.

Sorry my canny collar is only a size 2, or you could of had it.

Hi

I don't normally like head halters and only usually use one when things are going to be mega exciting but I have found the best one is the black dog collar infin8. Its sort of a cross between a canny and a halti and works wonders for us.
