Don't worry Angela know what you meant but not a good idea for these girls to be shut in any where.Maggie was whereever Baxter was even slept on him at times poor boy. Some may do it but poor Maggie freaked out at Darcies crate but now after being with me 2 years in april (god is it that long time flies) caught her snoozing in Baxters crate few weeks back
Good on you for thinking of adopting an exbreeding bitch from Many Tears. As everyone knows, I have adopted four of them. I have had Feather for 2 years and 2 months, and it is the 2nd anniversary for Que, Queen and Snowie at the end of this month.
I can only suggest you have lots of patience, and let her come on in her own time. My girls took over a year to learn to play. They now regularly pull a teddy to bits with each other. We have been lucky maybe, in that there has never been a cross word between them. Jazz is my original puppy, and she is super-placid. I can't say we have a packleader unless they see me as that leader. They are a heaven-sent bunch of dopey labradors on the whole. Two are a bit shy, but I don't try to change that. I work round it and never force them. Just be prepared to wait for her to grow in confidence. She may take a while, but hopefully she'll follow Bailey.
I hope it is Chamois you are after. She looks really wonderful. My heart goes out to Fallow. She was being homevetted, but that has obviously fallen through. She reminds me of my Snowie a bit. If only I didn't have to work! My Feather has a piece on the Happy Endings at the moment. The transformation from her picture on the site at first is incredible.
Thank You all so much for your wonderful replies which I have read a few times over and made mental notes. I much prefer hearing advice from other owners and knowing about the problems I may face as well as the joy of course
I have a feeling that I'll be posting again asking for info if I'm lucky enough to get her - Thank You too MrsM for your kind offer and giving me your email addy
It is Chamois but don't want to tempt fate as only today Ive put in a request to meet her (will take Bailey and family) - I always look on the site and Chamois seems to have been there for an age and behind her sad looking eyes I can see a big personality dying to get through - I hope I'm lucky but I'm a firm believer of fate and if she's the one for us and we are the one for her then it will happen - I want to see her eyes brighten and her to walk proud
I wish I had found this site years ago just to talk to like minded people like yourselves - (Am I the only one who has photos of their pets on their mobile phones but none of their kids?)

And again, I want to clarify that I hadn't meant to shut her in anywhere.
My collie has had a crate for a few years now and it's his "safe place" but is open about 99.9% of the time for him to go in and out as he pleases.
Good luck to the OP - do let us know how things go. I have friends who have adopted ex-puppy farm brood bitches and they've been wonderful girls.
I've been watching Chamois on MTR site. She has been homevetted for several days, and has now disappeared from the site. I hope you have been able to adopt her, Baileyboo. Please let us know.
You have no more free posts, but it is well worth subscribing (£10 a year), or you could re-register under a different name just to let us know!
