I was very saddened to receive a letter from Dogs Trust this morning, informing me that my sponsor dog of over six years, Frank, a collie, had to be put to sleep recently due to old age and illness. Frank was over 15 years of age and had been at Dogs Trust, Kenilworth, since 1997. Frank had a good innings and although he spent the best part of his life with Dogs Trust, I know he had a much, much better life than a lot of dogs and was much loved and very well cared for.
