Yes, £1,000 reached, that has made me very happy, but I do have some sad news!!! Ben's health deteriated this week, culminating in him having a fit Saturday night. Thankfully I had come home with him to Padi's and was able to take him to his vet. He is now at peace. I am so greatful that Padi could do this walk with me, Ben really has enjoyed himself these last few months, his favourite pastime was playing in the water and I have some lovely photos and videos to look over that bring a smile to my face, even though there is a hole in my heart.

No she hasn't finished yet. She is hopefully coming to stop with us next week as she passes by. I wondered why she hadn't returned my latest phone call, when I came across this.

That makes it all the more sad Michelle as he`s been with her through the walk, hopefully the happy memories will help her along the way.

It was very sad news, I'm gutted for Trish Crying or Very sad but very glad that she was able to get hold of a van before she started the walk so that her friend could accompany her on various stages, enabling Ben to walk with her at times too. I'm sure she must have lots of very happy memories of Ben.

Trish is due to finish the walk sometime next month I believe, amazing that she's so far walked all the way from Scotland isn't it!

A fellow Oldies Club committee member made a video of Trish when she stayed with her for a few days during the walk, it includes some lovely footage of Trish and Ben, which I am sure she will treasure.
