'Nothing serious' vibes coming ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If she was limping before her spay, did the vet not suggest x-raying her while she was under GA?

Thanks everyone. And good to know that it isn't the end of the world if it is HD or ED...

Wendy - I did suggest that to the nurse but she said it might not be possible as they don't like to keep them under for too long, so I'm not sure if she passed on the message that I wanted it done, but it wasn't anyway....

I don't like the thought of her going under another GA so soon, will talk to the vet about it tomorrow. I expect they might just have a feel of her leg tomorrow and book her in for a GA if it's needed anyway...

~~~~nothing serious~~~~ vibes coming your way. But like other posters have said, if it turns out to be HD or ED, it isn't the end of the world. Lucy was diagnosed with HD when she was 6 months, after we noticed she was walking a bit 'stiffly' (although when she was trotting or running, you couldn't notice a thing, other than a bit of kangaroo running i.e. both back legs coming up at the same time)....
And, this is not intended to worry you at all, merely passing on my experience. The 1st time we took lucy to see the vet about it, he had a good feel about and manipulated both her hips, and couldn't feel anything wrong and said she had a very good range of movement. After taking her back a 2nd time after the 'stiff' walking continued, he agreed to X-ray her and that's when we found out she had quite bad HD in her left hip only........
I just wanted you to be aware that not all vets can ensure there is no problem, by feel alone....the very best of luck and let us know how you get on.
~~~~~loads more vibes~~~~~ coming your way Smile

Hope its nothing serious for Tombi, vets can do wonderful things for dogs with bad hips/elbows these days, you only have to see Charlie pups story to know that, trouble is it does cost but as you say for our furbabies we find the money needed to make them well Smile
