So ever since some random woman leant over Hudson and asked him if he was a chav because of his collar I've been leaning towards getting a new one. He's also chewed the matching lead so I think this is a perfectly good reason.

However, I'm stuck between two.

A Dublin waterproof one: http://www.kyraandluna.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=208 with matching nylon lead or a brown/green leather one: http://www.richandrobin.co.uk/cart/gbu0-prodshow/pawsbrowncollar.html but the matching lead's sold out. Confused

I need help choosing!

If Huds loves mud and water then i would definately recommend the dublin, they are so easy to clean and dont get ditched. BUT I do like the look of the leather one the best.

Well, apparently it's like burberry or something. Now I'm really not with the times and don't take an awful lot of notice about fashion etc so I haven't a clue what this means. But the cheek of this woman - she walked right over and starting fussing him and said to her friend 'Oh look at his little chav collar, are you a chav little puppy?' Me and OH looked at eachother and then just walked away. Should have had a smart retort!

I like the leather one better, but although he's not been in water and mud yet I'm thinking it will only be a matter of time, so perhaps the Dublin one's better.

How do they withstand to dogs pulling on the lead? Our heel work is pretty awful right now and he's a strong chap.

have you looked at the Red dingo collars?? they have matching leads too,

Only catch with the dublin is if Hudson is a puller, the Dublin may not be suitable just yet.

I like the Red Dingo for lead days and the Dublin for looking nice.

I love love love (my) Hudsons Chai Latte Arrrglye Dublin collar Smile

Thank you for the extra link - another one to add to my shopping folder in my favourites! I like the Hunter Orange one.

Really Fiona, are they no good for pullers? I saw a post about a Red Dingo collar coming apart earlier on - are they normally okay?

What kind of collar will be best for a puller? I'm going to post about this problem separately because we just had a nightmare walk and I'm in need of some advice or reassurance.

The Dublins are made or plastic/rubber (hence them being waterproof) but like most plastics they will stretch when warm (a dogs body heat for example) so putting one on a 'puller' does have a certain element of risk.

Red Dingy nylon ones are fantastic (I'm a big fan) and they are washable too!

They won't stretch and have the Dingo quick release bucklebone catch to boot!

We give all LF members 10% if they quote LAB1 at the checkout
so you get a smart collar and lead and save money too!!
