In today's Guardian, Family section, there is a wonderful story of a family rescuing a dog from their local RSPCA in Leeds. The father/husband had cancer, and lost his fight after another 3/4 years. This dog then helped mum/wife and her daughter through their bereavement.
If any techy person can put a link up, I'd really appreciate it, as I'm sure many of you would find this story as wonderful as I did. It's had me crying for ages. Otherwise you'll HAVE to read it in the newsagents or buy yourselves a copy. TIA.
What a lovely story. The dog made the last few months of that mans life so much more bearable as his cancer gradually got worse.
After his death the dog helped his wife & child to get over the loss - Just goes to show what a marvellous companion a dog can be.
Can hardly type for the tears. Oh how lovely! How lucky are we all in the companionships which we have found in our little dogs Life is strange sometimes but very sweet. That is a lovely example. Thanks for sharing
