she is 6 weeks old, we are bringing her home at 7.5 weeks, so maybe by the time we get her the food will have changed, think they mentioned giving us some foods but think it was iams or something. they are kc accredited breeders so i hope they know what they are doing. lol.

finn was a bit slow eatting at first but i figured he'd eat as much as he needed to and he has certainlu maintained a good weight throughout and not been through any skinny stages. He now eats all his dinner and i think he just wasn't a good eater to start with, no more fighting with all those mouths so he slowed down!

Amber does seem to have a wind and poo issue (see other thread) BUT can't guarantee that it's the food or ...well not sure what else yet..

unfortunately being an accredited breeder doesn't really count for much!

     |

Now I am really confused. Just read on a dog food analysis site that Skinners is a relatively poor quality dog food! Although its great it works well for a lot of you, I was wondering if anyone else could recommend what they feel is the best food for a pup. (normally on here in the evenings, you dayers may have different opinions). Thanks

Who sponsored the dog food analysis site Pedigree?
At the end of the day you can pay as much as you like but it is not always the best food for your dog.

Mine are on Skinners and Darcie was changed over at about 6mths pic of her at a year old .......................
Now if it was that bad a food one i wouldn't be feeding it and more importantly she wouldn't look like the above picture, will also add my choccie boy also looks as good .
Both Darcie and Baxter were raised on JWB as pups.
Be interested to read can you post a link

Link is: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showproduct.php?product=2021&cat=all
I understand that price is not an indication of a good food, but everywhere you look there is conflicting information! I must say though that this website is fantastic and is nice to get the views of dog owners who can see firsthand how the food effects the dogs it is being feed too.
Lorna, thanks. she is so sweet, can’t wait for her to come home!
