Just thought I would tell you about the service I have had from Pet Planet I have just ordered some Chudleys Puppy Junior (for Bramble because I am STILL trying to get the little horror to eat something, anything!) and some cat food.
I placed my order at 10.00 am Friday morning and at 2.30 Friday afternoon I received an e-mail to confirm despatch! Now hows that for service!!!!!
Am hoping it turns up on Monday...but as always I went for the cheapest delivery option....
I am really sorry if I sound like a broken record but if anyone orders online from Pet Planet (or many other retailers, along with eBay), would you consider signing up with easy fundraising please, with Oldies Club as your chosen charity?
and register your details - they only require your name and email address (and you choose a password) - they don't take for your address (well unless you win a prize like an Oldies Club supporter won a case of champagne at the end of July).
Once you've registered, you just need to go via the easy fundraising site to find the retailer you want to buy from, and shop as usual Tis very easy once you remember to do it and Pet Planet will donate 2.5% of your order to the OC, without it costing you anything extra.
If you register before the end of this month, you'll go into the draw to win £100 of Amazon vouchers too.
Eve, on the subject of trying to get Bramble to eat, have you ever looked at Naturediet? I think it's a very good quality food and all my dogs have loved it, nice firm poos too
Angela - I still have about 12 packs of Naturediet that the little horror won;t eat! The last one got thrown away untouched!
We started life on a mixture of Nature diet and Arden Grange (naturediet to help the AG down), gave up on AG and tried Nature Diet alone - would not eat it and I had when feeding AG got a job lot because they were on (very) special offer... less than 50p a pack...
He is absolutely the worst dog for eating - he even turns his nose up at freshly cooked chicken and rice and raw tripe - and I was guaranteed that dogs will always eat those.....
He doesn;t even like raw chicken....
The best I ahve had so far is the Purina ProPlan which lasted about 3 months ish before he refused it point blank.
I despair with him I really do, Chudleys was recommended by Sally (west country girl) and he ate the sample so we shall see how long that lasts....
He is really thin and underweight and of course still growing so it is a huge stress. Sue has given me some really good advice (hence the tripe for one - although it was the pet shop that gave the guarantee if all else fails they will eat Tripe)
I know when our oldie wasn't well and lost her appetite a bit our vet suggested adding some olive oil, as it seemed to encourage her to eat and helped her gain a little weight too. I also added some tinned sardine to her meals quite often. I am guessing you have got past this stage though.
There is just no rhyme nor reason with him - and he is underweight which is a worry but I have come to the conclusion that what will be will be. I am intending to be tough with the Chudleys - but we will see, off past performance his will is stronger than mine...
