Lucy was a wonderful Pets as Therapy Labrador who had elbow dyplasia. At the age of 6+ she deteriorated and had to have amazing surgery to replace both elbows. Although it seemed to work initially, she never really recovered her ability to use her front legs and so had to be PTS today to release her from a great deal of pain and indignity. I just wanted to pay tribute as a friend who thought she was a wonderful friend, a loving dog who gave pleasure to so many, and who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Go free, Lucy. Run like you haven't been able to for a long while. Look back and think of us sometimes.
