I was jut wondering if everyone else looks at the LLR along the side of this page.
Every so often a dog will come on and i can't get them out of my head, at the moment its Barney, i think he is lovely. He has a lovely little face, i really hope he finds a new home soon.
Unfortunately there are also a few faces that have been around for a while, desperate to find that prefect home

Yes I do look even though another dog isn't really possible right now but, like others have said, maybe, just maybe I'll have a jangle with someone who is thinking of adopting. I look and sigh wistfully, hoping that they wriggle their way into a forever home sooner rather than later.
I do too, in fact I've been looking at labrador rescue sites for the last couple of years. There is was one dog on Labrador welfare sheffield who has been on their books for a while, a bitch, lovely face, think her problem has been socialization but they said she has been put into foster and she has improved
I've been really tempted to take on an old one, and maybe with my new job I might be able to and I am sure Chester would welcome a mate, especially a bitch as he seems to like them (No I don't mean that way) its just that he is such a softie and loves cuddles I could imagine him snuggling up to a momma dog rather than me when I am trying to take a nap on the settee, hard to drop off when you have him grumbling with contentment in your ear lol.
What I would love to see in this country with rescue is more of a back up system, think that would help cure some of these dogs being returned, and there must be people out there with such good intentions when they get a rescue dog but don't really know the baggage, if there is baggage that comes with these dogs. But suppose it all comes down to money and having the resources to have a really true temperament and socialization programme.
