I'm with Petplan but when I was looking for insurance Marks & Sparks were one I was considering

Maybe ring petplan, ask for the cancellation department.....say you want to leave as the payments are too high Wink

Very very high possibility they will drop them......it does seem quite a lot

I am stuck with More Than for Tess. Be careful with these - claim over a certain amount and you have to pay 20% of the cost.

Holly is with Marks and Spencer and they are better, IMO. Still got 7000 per year per illness/injury but no messing about with "extra" payments.

I did the moneysupermarket or confused or similar.

You do have to read the small print with whatever company you take out insurance with.

Some will not cover certain conditions at all (regardless of the dog's history) and others will not cover some tests/procedures that vets carry out (or will only payout a percentage of the cost of a test - an Histology test for example with Direct Line) - as they say there are often cheaper tests that they can do to obtain the same results - some insurance companies really do believe they know it all.

You also have to take the excess into consideration as well.

We are with pet plan and we pay £30 a month £15 for each dog.
Its the budget plan

The reason we are with petplan is that our vet will claim directly from them but they won't do it with any other insurance companies.

I pay £33.90 for both dogs with Direct Line, up to £6000 per injury or illness and they pay out promptly Very Happy

Please be aware that you will not be covered for any existing illness or past illnesses with a new insurer.
