I have just had a call from a lady who is about to be evicted from her home on Friday, she has tried everyone she can think of to help her with her situation.
Dogs Trust and RSPCA just turned around and told her that after 8 weeks her dogs would be rehomed.
She is on the Council's emergency housing list, but she has has 3 children and her 2 old Labradors (details to follow)
She does not want to give her dogs up, she has already had to rehome her 1 year old Rottie which she is devestated about, she can't afford kennel bills, and now needs help

They are seven this month and are very good with all ages they have grown up with small children, over the last year we have had a rotti pup living with us who is now 14 months I have to say Alfie is not impressed and very fed up with him, it has made him slightly un friendly to other dogs where as they where both very good.
Alfie is a very strong physically and a very large Lab. Tottie is much smaller and easier to handle on a lead. The trouble is we live near woods and Bewl reseviour so they have not been walked on leads much and have no road sense. Both will come when called although Alfie comes much more on his time than yours.
They have all ways lived in doors and are used to sleeping with head on pillows with whom ever is in bed first. Spoilt I know but very loved, we are all soft touchs where they are concerned.
Alfie is fit and healthy, Tottie has an on going ear problem which has been caused by her swimming all the time, it has left her with a cauliflower ear and the vet has said there is not a lot that can be done. She also snorts especially when she gets excited.

I don't know if any rescue would be able to help - but one thought is have they tried putting an ad up at their vets etc. asking for someone to help with the dogs until they get themselves sorted? She'd need to cover vet bills, food etc. but it might be worth trying in case someone comes forward.
Could she also try dropping an appeal round the local estate agents asking for someone to help?
Sorry, probably no use at all but I do really feel for her and hope she can find a solution.
