Hello campers!

As the weekend camping on the 26th/27th July has been cancelled, I've been roped into organising another similar type event! (I don't mind really) Wink

So, giving everyone PLENTY of advance notice, I am thinking a fun packed weekend, 1st or 2nd weekend in Oct? Again, camping in the New Forest (as long the dog friendly sites are still open!) Shocked

Initial thoughts please to see if this is worth taking forward?????

Most of the forest sites shut at the end of september! Holmsley is open until the 2nd of november and setthorns is open all year

Editted to add we may be upfor it though as long as it fits with work etc!

In your opinion, which site is better for a labby GT of the two you mentioned that would still be open in Oct?

Would have to be Holmsley as Setthorns is a bring your own loo type of site so more for caravans where as Holmsley is the big site so they have loo's and showers, you can also get a hookup so you could have a heater in your tent Ally!!!!

If people are gonna think it's too cold in early Oct, then it'll have to wait till next summer? Shocked

Becs, we tend to only camp till the middle of September or so. Did go in October one year and even with our little heater were soooooo cold!

But, don't let us stop you guys! We will just come next time, when it's warmer!

I was teasing!

We're alright we've got a caravan and we normally go in October break, not sure I would if I was in a tent Laughing

Ok folks, maybe a weekend camping should be summer 2009 instead of Oct 2008!
