I'm in Guildford, in Surrey, and watch the threads intently on members getting together so their furbabies can run wild in natures own....so how about we put our heads together and maybe try and have a nice weekend walk somewhere? Sat or Sun, I don't mind. The only area that I know, relatively close by, that is good for walking is Newlands Corner. I've never walked Lucy there, but been there loads pre-pooch owning.

Maybe one day in August? While the weather is still nice?

Happily take suggestions from others, but let me know your thoughts?

Hopefully, we can get a mini get together organised Very Happy

What a great idea. I've walked Newlands and Martha's and all the north downs round there loads of times without a dog and that would be a wonderful place to take them. Drop down from Martha's mount and we could go to the Percy Arms which welcomes dogs in the garden!!!!. Some of the areas would need lead walking as they are not secure though. Certainly fancy the idea though. I'm only at Heathrow. Could do Frensham ponds area too. I've been to 2 GT's before at Virginia Waters and Black Park and they were both great.

COME ON SOUTHERNERS!!!!!!!!!!

Liking your thought process Gregg, Frensham great or little ponds are lovely, although never been there with a pooch, and of course, any watering hole that welcomes our furbabies works for me! So that's a few possible locations anyhow!

Any other takers? Gregg, any particularly day good for you?

Out of interest Jemima, did you delete or move your pictures on my other "what do you look like" thread as none of them appear. Just wondered.

Cheers
Gregg.

Nope, they should still be there????

Sundays work for me! Am not gonna be on the forums for a few hours as my OH is taking me out for dinner before his night shift (oh, the romance) lol but chat amongst yourselves, and lets start to develop a plan of action!

Gregg, 2nd in command...rally the troops!

(P.s. if my photo's have vanished, i'll re-post some later tonight when I'm back).....maybe the 'good looking' fairy stole them for her own album Wink

I'm in Guildford too, Witley common is good for dog walking, and I've got a book of circular walks around the area all starting/finishing at a pub, loads of them are pooch friendly and are about 6 miles each on average, if anyone is interested in organising something along those lines I've done quite a few I can recommend

Frensham Ponds (little or great) are lovely - I used to take our previous dog there and she loved it.

I used to work in Guildford so it's not to bad to get there from here (about 2 hours ish). I'm down on the Kent coast but if you arrange it and I'm free I'll do my best to join you.

Lesley
