this thread is really making me angry. a dog in need is getting rehomed so who cares whos geographical area it comes under.
to post on an open thread an obvious atempt to try and belittle someone who does a thankless task is quite frankly pathetic
keep up the good work natalie
Thank you to everyone for all your input to this thread, but as the topic is sorted maybe we should close it

Natalie fair enough if you think that Tamworth is North Midlands but there is no such place lol
As you kindly reminded us of the areas we cover . Can you please let us all know why you were responible for taking a dog out of Leics a couple of weeks ago ?? Oh and the one in Northants ? With no consultation
with LRSE&C .
How North is that lol
It would be be nice to know what happened to those dogs and that they are well and happy .
Also the Geoghraphy DOES matter when moving a dog, they don't know what is happening to them and the journey can be distressing for them so the shorter the better.
I can assure you that those dog are perfectly safe, I personally had nothing to do with them other than being asked for assistance to help with finding foster homes and transport, which is what I will do for ANY LLR member. If its the 'same' dogs they were 'poundies' and the pound contacted the rescue to ask for their help and in turn they asked me for help through the rescue channels. LRSE&C have been approached on several occasions to take these dogs but they have been declined.
There is one particular rescue who ask me to help find foster homes, homecheckers and transporters on a regular basis, this is their perogative and what I am here for and what LLR is all about.
Kev, I know that there is no love lost between LRSE&C and another rescue, but I would prefer that you ask me straight out rather than use a transport thread to air your frustrations.
If LRSE&C choose not to take advantage of volunteers through LF and RHU that's entirely your perogative, but some rescues do and often, I have no control over where the dogs come from and I am not interested in politics, my sole concern is to help the breed.
Surely at the end of the day what is important is that these dogs are saved from PTS and placed in loving caring homes.

EXACTLY. I just cannot understand why in rescue there is this MY AREA, MY DOG. For Dogs sake the dear dog has found a GOOD rescue space. I didn't think people worked in Rescue For THEIR OWN EGO, I thought it was to rescue these dear defencless creatures. In the last couple of weeks I have had my eyes well and truely opened to this problem. I also think to have a go at someone like Nat is absolutely atrocious.
Ok, as the original request has now been fulfilled and the matter has gone off topic i m now going to lock this thread.
On a side note...... Nat as well as the mods are staff on LF volunteering their time to do their jobs within LF.
We are all contactable via different means outside of LF and I would advise that any issues members have with issues outside of LF to contact them by different means (MSN, email, telephone or PM) and not through a public forum.
