every time they pull foward, it brings their front round slightly so they can't pull
so they can still pull then, just in a different direction
Just like the head collar...they can still pull but it puts them off as it brings their body round. (That's with the gentle leader easy walk harness that attaches to the chest)

I'll show you the concept next time we meet up (if there is a next time )
Oooooh - have we met?
No unfortunately we haven’t met but Becs was right I was referring to Marie
But I notice you live close to Rotherham so next time I’m visiting parents I can see if you want to meet up? I’m from a little place called Swinton (!) originally and our parents still live there. I would love to meet you and the dogs and see what great dog walking places you can recommend And I’ll try to remember the harness to give you a demo
Hi a harness wont stop pulling they are meant for pulling i.e Husky type you have to teach your dog not to pull you can use any old lead i use a slip lead on one of my dogs and a head collar on the other one because he pulls like mad and i have a back problem i did try a harness but it hurt the dog they don't work
I think that's a bit of a blanket statement. Some harnesses are designed to help dogs stop pulling, or at least give the owner more control while they train the dog to stop pulling.
Not all harnesses hurt. The ones I use definitely don't hurt my dogs or I wouldn't use them. Head collars work for lots of dogs, but not all dogs will wear them.
Also, don't dogs such as guide dogs wear harnesses?
