I have just had a tearful telephone conversation with a good friend of mine. Her husband came down this morning to find that one of their labs had died in the night.  Sam and Delilah came to them from Rescue just over 2 years ago and although they had their problems (Sam was epileptic, Delilah was deaf) they were the softest loveliest dogs ever.
Sadly it seems that Sams heart gave out, they were never really sure of his age and there were no signs that he had suffered a fit.
Rest in peace beautiful boy - you were truly loved by all that knew you.

What a shock for them both, they know though that they gave Sam a good life for his final 2 years.
