OMG - How cute are those photos! Make the most of it - they don't stay like that for long
With regards to the dog bed, we used a cardboard box for about 2 months and when it became chewed I just picked up a new one at the supermarket! The boxes also got progressively bigger to cater for a very quick growing pup I cut out one side so Lucy could get in and out easily. So glad we did, that chewing lasts quite a while
Good luck with your new arrival - cant wait till we get our second!
I'm going to sort a box out for her at first too :0
Nice to hear form another from another local owner! Cheryl's going to look into one over Quedegely somewhere for training, but if you find anywhere good we'd def be interested

I now have my own log in and user name (as I was previously using Ad's)
We have followed the advice on this website and have got her the following already and we don't even pick her up for another 3 weeks (ish)
a) puppy pen (crate I beleive they are called),
b) 2 metal bowls (chew friendly ),
c) puppy collar and lead (I think she will soon grow out of it thou! )
d) few toys (prob end up buying some more before we get her thou)
e) Labrador training book (hopefully it will work fingers crossed huh )
f) we are also going to sort out a cardboard box to bring her home in...
We also left an old blanket with the breeder so that she gets to know our smell and also so that we can take her litter and mum smell back with us when we pick her up.
Really excited now - its like having my first baby....
Welcome Chez
Love the pics of Amber.
Don't worry, those three weeks will feel like an eternity, but they will go by eventually
A great book I always advise puppy buyers is Gwen Bailey's 'The Perfect Puppy'.
regards
Jenny

Just catching up on this post - sorry for not welcoming you earlier.
Amber is just gorgeous! When we picked up Smudge from the breeder, I nearly cried because he was so beautiful! They melt your heart from Day 1!
Look forward to hearing all about Amber and seeing some more of those hundreds of piccies you will certainly be taking! We don't seem to take pictures of anything else now!
Just thought I'd update you re. puppy training class in Glos:
Me, Hubby and little Molly went to our first training class last night - which was indeed run by Sue Hardy (thankyou Anna!). It was good, there weren't many peeps there - only 4 puppies. The trainer went over a lot of the things that we've been teaching at home, but she also had some other handy tips to add.
Molly managed to disgrace herself in the first few minutes (that darn toilet training - still that's what we were there for!). But apart from that she did do very well.
Its at Pineholt Village Hall in Brockworth on a Monday - 7pm for the puppy class. I'd give Sue Hardy a ring first though (01452 558101).
