Have just bought the first puppy toy in preparation for our new baby - a squeaky Kong ball - and then I see this post! I bought the small one - should I take if back and get the larger one? I wanted to have something puppy-sized, but maybe not a good idea as pups grow so fast. What do you think?
I have bought both sizes today. I would think that 3 pack of Kong tennis balls are ok for a small puppy, they are the same size as a normal tennis ball, Jet is 9 months old and i will use these when he is supervised in the garden. The larger ones are a great size, and Jet prefered this size, i found it easier to get hold of when i wanted to take it of him. The smaller ones he could actually close his mouth around them..... a nightmare to take them away from him.
The squeak in these balls isn't as loud as i was expecting.
I have to say that the Large Kong tennis balls are the best toy I've bought for George. It covers all aspects for his favourite toy. It's soft, squeaks and is a ball. It is also the first 'soft' toy he has had that has lasted. The solid rubber stuff and nylabones last but he gets bored with them when his jaws get tired so he moves on to easier targets e.g. his towel, my daughters phone, the remote or my arm.
____________ Before getting George - Chocolate Labradors are lovely dogs. After getting George - Oh the Chocolate ones are the most lively and destructive.
