I have heard on the grapevine that there is a Game Conservancy Trust Fun Gundog Day at Duxford on the 22nd June. I would like to go along with the two girls that I have been helping to train there dogs but I can't find any details about it anywhere. I have looked on the Game Conservancy website but it doesn't seem to be there.

Has anyone got any details or any ideas where I can find out about it?

Hi Jill,

Sorry I dont know about the Duxford test, but I do know that there is a Game Conservancey test (or Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust as they are now known Confused ) on 28 June near Market Harborough which might be within striking distance for you.

They are running an Open, Novice, Novice dog/Novice handler, Special Puppy & Junior Handler, so something for everyone.

I'll PM you some more details, but thought I'd post this in case anyone else is interested.

Matt

Thanks Matt but I have something else on that weekend. It just so happens that I have nothing on the 22nd and thought I could take them along as they are a bit nervous.

I will keep digging around and see what I can find. You would have thought they would advertise them a bit more though Rolling Eyes .

Good question, I have “heard” of one of these days at West Wycombe on 6th July (I think), but I have no details. Does anyone know more?

I know all about the ones near you John (EJW Smile ). You have the one JohnW has told you about and usually another Oxfordshire one as well in easy driving distance.

Its just the ones out in the willy waddies of the fens that are hard to find out about Rolling Eyes . Communication doesn't seem to have found its wellies and paddled out this way yet Rolling Eyes

Mmm, thats interesting! I've not received anything about the Oxford round this year! Although they might have got fed up sending to me as I've not worked that round for quite a few years.
