Probably Rach! But on the plus side I can now enter her into lots of open shows and start small eh?!
And, lots more time to practice. Especially as we will be housebound for a bit! We were supposed to be going camping and to a fun show this weekend too - hey ho, never mind.
As Jackie says though holding the lead is not a problem unless she is skipping and leaping for it, THEN it masks her otherwise good movement.
Where abouts are you in the country Ally?
When you are trying to get her to stretch out, 'bait her'. Meaning put the food down where she can tug and bite and it and get her to step forward with her front legs a little WHILST biting at the food, and then when she is in the right place, remove it and ask for 'stand' or 'wait' or 'bananas' or whatever you will use to have her stand.
Still keep her nice and happy if you can because a low tailset can look a little better if the dog is wagging.
Darn it about the season! Get scanning dog world and find her one after that now you've done so much parctice

I've just entered her into an open show. Poole Canine club on the 22nd June. We are based in Milton Keynes but can combine it with a trip to family in Hampshire so not too far really.
We will still be coming on the 7th though, give us more of an idea what to expect etc. I'm gonna arrange for Scampy to be granny sat.
