So excited now, only 5 weeks to go Very Happy Very Happy

Can you all confirm what day/time you are arriving. We have access from 4pm on Wednesday 18th June. I will be there from then.

I am planning a fishing trip, I know a few of you would like to go, so anyone wanting to, please confirm here.

I am waiting to hear back from Alvie Estate for a price for a BBQ on Friday 20th (midsummers night), so will let you all know and if it isn't too expensive it would be a laugh Very Happy Also could be fun if we had a dress theme for it Laughing I was thinking of Flower Power Laughing

Each day we will be going out on walks to take in the wonderful scenery and where our boys and girls can be off lead. I would also like some competition idea's from you all just for fun.

Food: I think it would be a good idea for our evening meals and breakfast to pre organise what we are having each day. For lunches whilst we are out we can make sandwiches, rolls etc which between us all we can make each morning to take out with us. I do have loads of room in my car so if everyone is happy once it is agreed what food we are having, I am happy to get the food and collect the money from everyone. Let me know what you think.

There are many activities (other than going out with the dogs) available on Alvie Estate. If you want to do any of these, there are plenty of us to look after your Lab whilst you take part.

Clay Pigeon Shooting (Min age 12)
£20 (20 shots each)
£25 (25 shots each)
£50 (50 shots each)

Archery
£18 per adult per hour
£12 per child per hour

Quad Bike Treks (Min age 12)
£35 per person per hour

Horse Riding
Mini ride - 30 mins Children Only £12
Lesson - 30 mins Children Only £13
Beginners Ride - 1 hour £23
Beginners Ride - 1 1/2 hours £33
Experienced Hack - 1 hour 23
Experienced Hack - 1 1/2 hours £33

Estate Tours
2 hour tour £20
3 hour tour £30

I know the gamekeeper on the estate and am going to try to get him to show us some gundog work. Also for a wee dram he might be willing to judge a Lab Show for us Wink I will be working on him Wink

We'll be arriving Thursday afternoon, but not sure what time, depends when OH gets home from work Rolling Eyes Will aim for around 4-5ish, if he leaves work by 1 and by the time the car is packed up... As long as there is someone around to let us in... if they'll let us in Laughing Will you need car reg numbers?

I want to go fishing too, but if it happens before we arrive, you'll have to take me fishing another time Wink OH will be going up mountains either on the Friday all day or the Saturday depends on the forecast - three munros is too much for me, otherwise I'll be in bed by 8pm Laughing

I'm happy with my cereal for breakfast - quick and easy, you know I take ages to get ready in the mornings as it is Laughing

weee... 5 weeks?! nuts! he he he he

We will probably arrive later on the Wednesday night, we are going to come straight from work. So maybe 8 ish.

As far as food is concernd. Michael is a bit fussy! Not horribley... just a bit. So I'm not too sure about community meals. Breakfast and lunch are no probs.. but evening meal could be tricky.

BBQ is a great idea Smile

um what else... I started this post about an hour ago and got called away....

Oh yeah... things to do... I like the sound of the quad bikes!!!! Wonder if we could get a shot of some agility equipment from somewhere? Maybe hide and seek with the dogs? We hide... dog has to find us ... quickest dog wins?

um....I'm thinking of all the party games for a kids party that you could ammend....

fair to middlingly fussy!

He doesn't do veg, won't eat onions. Doesn't eat much in the way of red meat... won't eat mince or mincey meals like chili or spag bol. He's pretty good at picking out from a meal what he doesn't want... but it can be hard on him sometimes... and for whoever is cooking!
