I have been scoring the websites for insurance just recently as we are looking for our new addition (photos to be uploaded soon!!). We are currently on the Kennel Club free 6 weeks which buys us a bit of time. I was going to go with More Than as it looked good value for money, but when my husband took Woody to the vets for his 8 week injection they were singing the praises of Pet Plan there - seems expensive though. Does anyone have experience of making claims with More Than? would be interested to hear?

The vets will tell you petplan as this is one they are told to push.

Don't get me wrong a lot of people are happy with petplan you have to make the right decision for you Very Happy

I am with petpalsdirect - they seem pretty good on reading up on them.

I think Petplan is often the only insurance company where vets will accept payment direct from the insurer rather than the owner paying up and then claiming back. I haven't found vets try to push insurance like they do other products like food.

I've got policies with Petplan and M&S policies. I think Petplan is the most expensive but it's also been around the longest and I don't think I'd go elsewhere again. I haven't claimed with M&S but I know others have had problems. Axa offers its own policy now which seems competitive with good benefits.
