I need to get cover for a new member of the family. My son and his girlfriend are getting a Miniature Poodle (which is going to live here with me along with them Very Happy ).....and I thought I'd sort out some insurance before she arrives.

Now I'm with MoreThan for Mojo and so far I've been happy but I was just wondering if any of you lot had any other recommendations. We will want a Life Time cover, rather than a 12 month one. Wink

I am still checking out insurance for B but I did come across pet-insurance.co.uk who have lifetime cover and seemed reasonable although I need to read into it a bit more. Smile

Yes it will be a pup. She is 6 weeks old at the moment, so another couple of weeks to go, unless the breeder is happy for us to take her a little earlier. No name as yet but we're working on it. Wink

I've always been with Petplan, and although I think they may be one of the dearer ones, they have never let me down. They even paid for an homeopathic consultation for my old lab (on referal from my vet)
I find it less painful not to read what it goes up by each year and just do direct debits and not look at the bank statements too closely!

(Ps Hoorah for little Poodle pup!)

That's what I do too Becs.....Bank Statements are far too scary to look at in any detail. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Crissi and Tori had an insurance comparison thing that was posted on Kyruba for a while with them all side by side.

I think it was Crissi that found it when she came to renewal time - I'm sure she'd send you it if you PM her?

Hi Jules
We took out a life time policy with Pet plan and so far we're really pleased with them, they are a bit more expensive so we pay direct debit instead of the one off payment, but we're really pleased with everything they offer.
Hope that helps

We're with Morethan too - haven't had to claim anything but I remember the faff of looking and they seemed the most competitive for a decent policy.
