Avatar size increased for Subscribers

where do i go to get help this is very frustrating i have still have had no joy increasing my avatar Ann

Hi Wolf

Not sure if this is right but what I did was to resize the photo in Photoshop from scratch and then upload it as a completely new avatar - and I had no probs.

Hope this is of some use....

Thanks Eve i tried that but didn't work i've had a go at everything people have suggested its acting as if i am not a subscriber which i am, i have tried to get help from admin but no joy i'm afraid Ann

Ann, I have finally done it - I just kept re-submitting the file until finally it accepted it. Not a very technical approach, but is has worked. Where are you up-loading it from?

At first i was uploading it from Bridge in Photoshop but also tried from a folder on my desktop i have put it in PNG format which was suggested on here Ann

I have had probs uploading on LF from my desktop before, so I now use the 'photobucket' site, and you can change sizes etc. Then you have options on url addresses which you can 'copy' and 'paste' into the avatar bit.
Good luck - I sat here for ages trying to upload it.

Did you delete the old avatar first? I tried to upload without deleting the old one and it wouldn't work but after I deleted the old one I could upload the new one without problems.

I did not need to delete my old one, it should do that as it accepts the new one.

As a thought for you, there is a maximum file size as well as pixel number so it may pay to check that you are within the 50kb size.
