Kevin, you could try Pawz for Thought which is in Sunderland - a bit closer to you Wink

They had had a choc lab bitch listed on the site, although it seems she's found a home, they've mentioned her sister is up for rehoming: http://www.pawzforthought.org/pawz/gallery.asp?index=13 - worth trying them if you're serious about having another dog?

There must be a lab rescue somewhere nearer to you too? There's also the RSPCA Newcastle I think?
