Just wondered whether anyone has any experience with this lot? Seems a very fair premium for lifetime cover.

i just done a quote from them and i gotta say that the lifetime cover seemed really cheap, i dont have any experiance with them though so cant comment, and i was unable to find out what the annual limit is for each illness, one thing i do know from bitter experiance is, if you can afford lifetime cover get it, we didnt do this for zak and now we have to pay for all of his epilepsy treatment and medications our selves.

fledgling and zak

I've also just got a quote for their lifetime cover, and it's come up very competitive.

I noticed it says:

'provides essential vets fees cover up to £4000 for each condition each month'

surely this is better than any which have a limit of 7,500 over the lifetime?

I've just been given a really good quote on this one too - and this £4000 per condion per month is really good - or am I missing something. Anyone have any further info. on this please? Thank you

I called them to confirm it is per condition per month... it is! The only thing is, if you have an ongoing condition, you have to pay the excess of £80 each year.... but are covered up to £4,000 each month for that one condition, so the money never runs out like most policies.

I've taken out this insurance, £12.73 a month from 1st December when i get my pup home.

It was very easy to setup online, the policy summary is short and to the point, not loads of pages to read through. Customer services answered the phone straight away and were very helpful!

Ive just done a quote too and it does seem really good- too good to be true maybe? I might phone them tomorrow and see what they say. I was quoted the same price for both my labs that i pay EACH to petplan.

yes i also wanted to double check the per condition per month! even if it was per condition per year it would be good! as most policies insure for a max of £7,500 per condition, which could run out during a long term illness! the idea of this insurance is it doesnt run out... hence 'lifetime' cover!

obviously i dont know what they are like when it comes to a claim, but i'm hoping i dont have to find out either!

We've got a 10 week old yellow lab pup at home called Stella and while we're using up our free 4 weeks insurance I've been looking round at lifetime cover pet insurance. I came across this website and saw how cheap it was too. Just wondering does anyone know if the premium will increase each month if you start to claim as it is renewed on a monthly basis rather than yearly?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks

Like everyone else I to have come across these amazingly cheap quotes from Pet-insurance.co.uk and was at first a little sceptical, so I did some digging around, and they are the online arm of Equine & Livestock Insurance Co. Ltd. I have used E&L before and had a chocolate lab that died just over a year ago who had a heart attack at just 9 years old. He also had an ongoing auto immune disease which contributed to his death, at the time he was insured with E&L as i said and we had a lifetime cover policy with them and I must say they paid out every month I submitted the claim and renewed the policy each year with no surcharges.

If i had one grumble it was they long process to get a claim paid ie , you filled in the form or continuation form , took it to the vet , he forward it to E&L and they then sent a cheque which alll in all took about 30 days, with no option to have the money paid by BACS direct into my bank account.

Appart from that they were very good. One thing strikes me though is if you go to the E&L website and get a quote off that company rather that Pet-Insurance.co.uk it's more expensive, so go figure that one.

One final thing we have just had a renewal quote for our 6yr old Yellow Lab from her excisting insurers, Halifax and they want £304 for the same cover, obviously we are nottaking them up on their offer to renew
