  |
|
Sophie was lost on her walk on 3rd July in a village called Averham near Newark. She was sniffing on the riverbank and failed to return to her owner.
She is 11 years old and wearing a blue collar, which was new and unfortunately had not had her tag put on. Sophie is not chipped either.
Sophie is generally fit and not returning is out of character for her - she is very friendly and therefore we are hoping someone has taken her in.
I know the owners only from meeting them on my walk, but they are obviously distraught. Please pray for the safe return of this lovely girl.
Posted on doglost today and local lab rescues informed.

Thanks Jackie, that's really kind of you.
I've just spoken with the owners again and offered to go out but there have already been extensive searches done so they don't think we'd find her.
Apparently the local fishermen have been cutting down the nettles on the riverbank to help and the farmer has been out with his dogs too looking. It's just so sad, she really is a lovely, cuddly girl.
There has been some dog napping in the area apparently, the owners are, I think, torturing themselves with what ifs and if onlys.
If they change their mind about searching I will PM you to see if you're free to help - again thanks so much for the offer.
