Ok, inspired by the GT I went to today at Fairy Glen (and possibly the two glasses of red), I've decided to start a new post as a kind of reminder to those who already had this date/time in mind. Come on guys, get there if you can, GT's are great! (Wellies are probably adviseable, as is labrador proof clothing.)
Edited to add if anyone requires lifts to/from York Railway Station, I can arrange for up to three people/five labs.
The only thing that's likely to stop me is if Hollie comes into season. My mother will be away so I couldn't leave her at home.
There's no sign of it though, so finger's crossed.
Not sure if I can make it or not yet. I'll let you know next week.
Bob, you are such a tart Please don't wear your tangerine jumper if you come along, you know how it makes you so irrestistable to us women and you already seem to have quite a hareem.

Hope you can make it Lynda, will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Some more instructions for anyone who is going. If you are approaching on the A64 you need to stay on this going around York, and then follow the sign post for the exit on the A19 to Selby. As you come off the A64 you need to keep in the right hand lane, and take the third exit (right turn) off the roundabout, keep in the left hand lane, and take the first exit (straight on) at the second roundabout. Carry on and you'll come to a 40mph zone (Crockey Hill) with a set of traffic lights, you need to turn left (if you're coming straight up the A19 from the Selby direction this is where you will turn right). Follow the road for a few miles until you come to Wheldrake, take the second turning on the left (North Lane) and carry on until you hit a 20mph zone, turn left before the school, and as the road sweeps round to the left turn right - actually takes you straight on. Wheldrake woods is about a mile down this single track, past Hagg Lane, you enter the edge of the woods and pass a little house with stones painted white to mark their drive. The car park is a couple of hundred yards past this on the left.
As I said before, if anyone needs a lift to/from the station give me a shout. Wellies will be required I should think (from earlier today) and it isn't suitable for prams or wheelchairs I'm afraid. And any small children may need lifting over some of the deeper puddles.
Also be aware that as well as other dog walkers there are walkers (without dogs ), joggers, cyclists and horse riders using the woods, so you need to be able to get your dog back, particularly if its spooked by any of the above.
