Hi, Hill Science Diet (Puppy Large Breed) works a treat for shiny coats, wish my hair was in such good condition!

Our breeder told us that a egg made their coats nice and shiny hehe!
Maya being the spoiled little lab she is gets a scrambly egg with her biscuits once a week and is nice and shiny ^^

i wonder which tips should I follow, I only give my puppy dog food.. and yet it isn't shinny? when is the time that you will see the changes? shes a 4 month old puppy btw.

Minnie is four months old, well very nearly five actually, and has a very shiny coat. She has Naturediet, as do my adult dogs, and I make tuna cake for them each week to use as treats, using tuna in sunflower oil.

If you do give eve primrose,, make sure ya go for the lower dose one,, they do 500 mg and a 1000 mg.

We give Alf 1 capsule of the 500 mg day and also a tin of sardines in tom sauce once a week.

gets brushed with a soft brush at least every other day.

Now that he is over his leg issue and is back outdoors he has never been so soft and shiny

Traceybs, your Ness is just adorable! And looks SOOOO much like my Lucy (if only I could figure out getting a photo on here??????)

Tuval, your Maya is also super cute....what is it about lab pups holding toys in their mouths that make them extra adorable?

Lucy is fed on BETA dry puppy food for large breeds, and has plenty of opportunities to bound in and out of lakes, and I also take her swimming when I can (in a neighbours pool). I get people comment on her glossy coat almost on a daily basis, i've even been accused of using shoe polish (i haven't, and that comment was said in a humerous tone!)......haven't tried her on oily fish but am going to start (which is best can anyone tell me?????? sardines? Tuna? Mackerel?).

Lucy also gets a good old brush every now and then, but I did notice her coat was a tad on the dull side (which would probably still be shiny for some!) whilst she was maulting but she's through the worst of that now and is back to her gleaming self! Very Happy

I'm with raw egg on this one....Bails gets one now and again when I'm baking. Cod liver oil capsules are good for their dry skin, so I imagine would work on the coat as well (?)

Mind you, he's is moulting so much at the moment and is so dull and scruffy looking, I think I need to go to the chicken man and get a boot-full of eggs! hehe...
