Does any one live near Worksop, paticularly north, Gateford or Carlton forest way.

A pup missing for 6 weeks has just been sighted and in the area....weak, thin, dehydrated and bloodshot eyes.

Very friendly, will come up to you wagging but won't let you catch him.

Owner alerted and en route, but night is drawing in and the pup is not in a good state. He simply can't cover the whole area himself....

If anyone one is able to help PM and I will put you in direct contact...

Many thanks

Rhoni

UPDATE

Lenny was spotted at the Cannon pub trying to get in the bins. A couple approached, Lenny was scared of the man and backed of but rushed to the woman and stayed around her for 2 hours, very excited and acting like he wanted to be taken home.
His is worryingly thin, weak, tried to wee and poo but nothing came out and he was whinning in pain while trying. He is dehyrated and his eyes are bloodshot.
The lady wanted to take him back home and care for him till she could find his owner but was told " nah, look at him, he's flea ridden and a stray anyway, been wondering around here for ages, we just ignore him "
He then ran of towards the Kilton Golf course.
We have arranged for the pup to leave all left overs out tonight incase he returns and also left contacts mumbers.
The golf course backs onto his favourite field he was taken too for walks. From the pup to the golf course is half a mile, and he has stayed local since going missing 6 weeks ago.
So he is, in this great big country, in a half mile area, scared and dangerously undernourished and struggling........you have no idea how frustrating this is and heartbreaking for his owner.
Does anyone live anywhere close and prepared to travel to help? Time is running short for Lenny !
His pic is in LL but he looks identical to Tilly except he is male.

Arghhhh that is so frustrating, what is wrong with people, can you not speak to the Landlord of the pub and put up posters and on the lamposts and get people to hold onto him if they see him.

If only i was not right down here in the South.

OK.......

The word is now out in as many places as possible to try and gather as many people together to help search for Lenny.

He is very , very poorly and the local radio stations are now on it too trying to get any dog lovers or anybody in the area to help search.

Is anyone at all anywhere near this area???

Aww I really wish I was or knew someone in that area. This pup must be soo scared out there all alone.

I wonder who told that lady to leave it Shocked , I know if it were me I would have taken it anyway or to the local police station.

Here's hoping he's back home soon.

Just to keep you informed......

Requests for help are now being sent out on the radio hourly.

Dave is on his way back to the pub where helpers are being sent to leave leaflets, information and contact number before returning back to the search himself.

UPDATE

2 further sightings have been now reported. One from a man who says a distressed dog-yellow lab was picked up yesterday at the newsagent near the Canon pub and taken to Carlton Forest kennels - kennels have been rung and they say 7 dogs were taken in yesterday but could not confirm which breeds! Well worth a visit. The second sighting said there are 2 stray dogs in the gateford area.
