Well that Jody finished her season day 21 Very Happy
So she is going for a lovely shower tomorrow, haven't told her yet Laughing

Anyway am going to wash her vet beds too,was wondering should i use washing powder or should i just give them a 40 degree wash with nothing,i would hate for her to be allergic to the powder Confused

I have always washed the vet bed with washing powder and no ill effects - though I usually wash it at 30 degrees....

Good luck

I've always washed all their bedding in washing powder and I haven't had a problem yet. Wink

Good luck with the shower. Laughing

I use a non-biological powder for dog bedding, thinking that it is less likely to cause any problems. I wash vet beds at 60 degrees - they seem to be indestructible.

Being a woos- I always wash with fairy at 60.(meant to add post season or if particularly grubby) They dont seem to suffer- its almost indestructable from our point of view.

Good luck with the shower- after Dora's first and definately last performance she's off to the poodle parlour until she behaves....

didnt make a bit of difference my boy was glued to her rear until we found out she had an infection- course of specific antibiotics after a swab sorted that out!

The reason for 60 also gives the tub a good clean as the lower temps dont seem to keep the grease away- or so my Bosch engineer told me when I had black smudges on my whites. A 60 once in a blue moon wont hurt- rather that than use bleach to get rid of it.

I wash my dogs bedding weekly at 30 degrees with non-bio. Wash my bitches bed about every 3/4 days when she's in season and never had any ill-effects or problems Smile

I wash vet bedding weekly as well - with bio and at 30 degrees. Don't worry about her being allergic, her breeder will have changed and washed the puppy bedding several times a day!
