G'day all,
Sorry I've not organised any GTs since January, I had my operation and am almost recovered... I say almost, I tried to do a proper walk yesterday and failed miserably so need to gather my strength back up after a few months of recuperation!!
Anyway, Ozzie and I are moving down south in a few weeks time so I wanted to organise 2 farewell GTs. I thought I'd have one close to home that everyone can come to, and then maybe one in the countryside which would be a proper walk (dogs over 1 year only).
Anyway, for a fun GT how about we go back to Fairy Glen?? Its a fabulous spot for the dogs, there's a creek to splash around in and the area is really beautiful. Afterwards we could head up to the pub and have a drink. Those with young dogs or not interested in a proper walk could leave us after that, and those of us who want to do a proper walk could join me walking down that massive hill we had to climb last time, and meander along the canal for a few miles until we get back to the train station.
Whaddaya reckon, anyone up for this?
I can do 29 or 30 March, 12 or 13 April.
Oooooh forgot to say... Fairy Glen is near Parbold, I will supply directions later on Those of us wanting to do the walk (about 5 miles I think from memory??) will start at Appley Bridge train station like last time, but we'll do the walk backwards this time to skip that horrible hill
Would love to see you all there so I can say goodbye to all my NWGT mates... I'm gonna miss you all
Ness

Hi Ness
We would love to come. We can't do the 30th but the other dates are fine with us. Sorry you are leaving.

I would loved to have come, but I'm heavily pregnant and only got 8 weeks to go. I'm finding it hard to get comfortable and I even struggle walking up the stairs

I'd prefer the April dates as I'm going on holiday on 1st April and will probably be busy the weekend before.
