Trish, a crazy and lovely Oldies Club supporter has decided she is going to walk from John O'Groats to Lands End (as you do Laughing) to raise funds for the Oldies Club and Dogs Trust.

She is starting in mid-May and estimates from all the planning and research she's doing, that she will be walking 1,200 miles Shocked, possibly a bit further Shocked The walk is expected to take her around 5-6 months.

This is a fantastically, wonderful thing for Trish to do to help rescue dogs and the Oldies Club is very grateful that she has chosen us as one of the recipients of funds raised Group Huuug!

If you would like to sponsor Trish, please post on this thread or PM if you prefer Smile You can either sponsor an amount per mile or a set total amount Smile All sponsor money donated is to be divided equally between the Oldies Club and Dogs Trust.

Trish is in the process of setting up a website showing her route and hopefully she will have people updating an online diary for her so we can track her progress Very Happy

Once the route is established we are hoping that people might consider providing Trish with a roof over her head for a night or two if she's passing their way and maybe even joining her for part of the walk to show support and give her a boost. More to be posted on that at a later date.

We are also hoping that someone will consider lending her a motorhome for part/all of the journey so that her friend and Trish's oldie love7 can tag along and offer her some company. If anyone happens to have a spare motorhome hanging around Question do let me know.

Rather her than me Laughing Laughing

Will be more than happy to sponsor Trish for this venture, she has to be crazy to do it and I wish her all the luck in the world with it.

If I have my house back by the time Trish makes it down Manchester/Salford way she`ll be more than welcome to a bed for the night, thats if she doesn`t mind sharing it with the cats Laughing
