I have a checkup with the vet in a couple of weeks and I wanted to know if I should see he vet sooner due to these bumps I found on Nala's lips. I first noticed the bumps about a week ago and today while brushing her teeth I noticed that they have grown a bit. Anyone have an idea if these bumps should be checked on immediately (or am I overreacting just a tad?).

They look a bit like mouth ulcers - does she flinch or pull away if you touch them?

I have seen cases before where dogs have developed similar lumps, and gone unnoticed they've developed into quite nasty tumours, whether malignant or not they've hindered the normal functions of the mouth in general. If it were me I'd get her in sooner rather than later, just to be ahead of any treatment your girl may need. Although I have to add I am quite a protective mum, so may over-react in a mild situation!

They look a bit like Warts to me....but I would get them checked out by a vet to be certain, especially as they are growing quite quickly.

Thanks for the quick responses!
Through research online I have read a hundred different things these bumps could be. They do not bother her at all. I can poke and push the bumps around without Nala reacting. These bumps are also found in more places than the picture shows. She has a couple on the other side of her mouth and a couple more on each side closer to the back of her mouth. All the bumps are on her lips and I was hoping all it was is that these were spots that she had bitten herself while chewing on toys but the quick growth of the bumps concern me. (the picture shows the largest of the bumps)

If you're concerned then get yourself along to the vets as soon as you can, then if its nothing you can just tell yourself how daft you were for worrying yourself daft! Fingers crossed for your Nala, let us know how you go on.

What did this end up being? I have a husky/shepherd mix who has her first bump just like this - about pea sized and I'm totally freaking out - seeing the vet asap but worried. She's got a light colored coat and light eyes... I'm scared of cancer. It grew in about a week's time after noticing a puffy region there first. What did your dog's diagnosis end up being? Help!
