I thought it might be nice to see who out there, lurkers and subscribed help out with rescue in ANY capacity.

That might be transport, fundraising, fostering, homechecking, sponsoring a dog, knitting, making items etc.

Come on we'd love to hear what you do and who for, its time everyone had recognition for the bit you play in helping to save dogs and rheome dogs.

Come on lets see you x

We haven't done much (not as much as I would have liked!) but have helped out a little with transportation and have helped out a few times at MTR.

We foster as well and have Chloe with us, last time we rescued an old girl ourselves (Rhuna) and gave her a nice home till the end. And, I'm proud to admit I've put up an auction prize to help raise a bit of money for one of the rescue organisations, I'm so chuffed people have bid I may well do it again at some point!

As I live so far away from any Rescue and my driving is restricted as I suffer from panic attacks I cannot drive too far from home, I as you know make cushions, wallhangings, cards etc and donate to raising money fro animal charities, mainly dogs. I must admit I do not support the big names but the smaller ones. I started off just supporting Many Tears with the photo comp. as I was looking to rescue a little westie when I lost mine (but ended up with a springer). I've made a few things for Sylvia to sell at the kennels. Since then I have donated items for Springer Rescue. I enter auctions on-line both donating items and bidding. This year there was HOPE RESCUE, ROCHDALR DOG RESCUE, entries in the Oldies Club Photo Comp, entries in the FOUR PAWS photo comp. There was an auction on The Refuge. It has been alot of fun and I have made some good on-line friends.

I do transporting for Rochdale Dog Rescue. Willing to do transport runs in my area, and homechecking, for any rescue, so I am a member of Rescue Helpers Unite. It is a kind of database, amongst other things, for rescues to find helpers in any area of the country. They have no members in Herefordshire and Shropshire. Anyone there willing to help out?

If everyone on LF who helps a rescue in any way, would put their details on RHU, it would help them enormously. I was asked to do a homecheck 50 or so miles from home (next county, but wrong side), but I found someone on here who has agreed to help out with it. He lives only a few miles from there.

I thank whoever helped out getting my girls into rescue, and feel I can do a little to help out with someone else's future doggie to repay for the pleasure my girls bring me.

I subscribe to Dogs Trust every month, collect used stamps for MTR and have just sent a boxful of toys to MTR which were given to me by my Sis after she lost her lab on New Years Eve, I live too far away from resuces for home checking and cannot foster as I work full time but would dearly love to.
