Hi we have booked up a couple of holidays for later in the year and now need to sort out something for Barney! Looked at a kennel this morning and wasn't too sure, so am posting on here for any recommendations or suggestions from you more experienced lab owners!

We're about ten mins from Cobham/Leatherhead/Dorking/Epsom in Fetcham. Any suggestions most appreciated.

Thanks

Emma and Barney

Hi Emma... well I'm in Reigate and if I wasnt in rented accomodation I'd say I'd have Barney for you!! Aside from that i know the lady who runs my dog training class has a few numbers of people... i'm back there next tues so will get the numbers for you... there is supposed to be a nice lady in North Holmwood nr Dorking who has a couple of labs and takes boarders in and there is also a kennel near Betchworth that a friend of mine left her dog in over xmas and she was very pleased with it.. again will find out and let you know soon!

luckily i take my dogs on holiday with me - but i've known a number of cases where kind people have been looking after a friend's dog and the dog has escaped/run away .....

personally i would go for secure kennels every time - or have someone living in my home - with the dogs being let out in their own secure garden only...

sorry if this isn't what you want to hear - but i've heard of numerous cases - even when the dog knows the "babysitter" well
